Tucson has finally reached monsoon season. This started about a week or so ago, and it’s been raining like crazy every night since. As a matter of fact, it’s been hitting strong since this last weekend. On Saturday, we decided to do some backyard work. Luckily, we were wrapping up, when it started pouring rain at about 5:00pm. It didn’t let up until about 1am or so. The entire back yard was a lake. It took all day Sunday for the rain to soak in or evaporate. At about 4:00pm, the standing water finally disappeared. Just in time for yet another downpour. This time, it was worse than Saturday, and again I woke to another lake in the back yard.

Today, when I left work, it was pouring rain, and I was soaked head to toe getting into my truck. I know it sounds like I’m complaining again, but I do like the rain…it’s much better than the heat. I think it’s somewhat relaxing to hear the rain and light thunder…call me crazy.
