As sad as it may be, I am one of the many addicted to the popular MMO game, World of Warcraft. It all started back in 2006 when a co-worker of mine was playing and insistently tried to get me to play. I was able to resist for a while until he finally convinced me to get a free 10-day trial of the game. It was during these 10 days that I managed to make it to level 40 on my first character, an Orc Warrior. At this point, I was only 20 levels from being max level and able to play with my friend and another group of friends I met through him. I made it to level 60 just before The Burning Crusade expansion came out. I ended up buying the game and the expansion and have been playing ever since. Through Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm, I played a Shadow Priest and today I play a Warlock in a very awesome “casual” 25-man raiding guild. Most of the members are from elite guilds…members who didn’t want to commit to the insane hours that go along with hardcore raiding. We have a strict 8 hours/week schedule — in that 8 hours, we are able to accomplish what most guilds do in 2-3X that time. Here are a few nerd links — if you’re ever on Balnazzar, feel free to say Hello!
