On Wednesday, Microsoft released the next major version of their Internet browser, Internet Explorer 7.0. For those of you who’ve been using IE 6.0, it now includes tabbed browsing (like Firefox, Opera, etc.). It also includes a cool feature called Quick Tabs that shows you previews of all of your opened tabs. It also includes improved search, security and even includes the ability to subscribe to RSS feeds.
I’ve been using IE 7 through the release candidates and I must say, you have to give it a try. It’s a HUGE improvement over IE 6 and I think it competes very well with Firefox 2.0. It’s available for download now from the Microsoft site, and it will be pushed out as an auto-update in the near future.

Yeah, I too am hooked. I never thought I would be — I avoided it like crazy. One of the guys I work with has been playing for quite some time and him (along with a few of his friends) convinced me to try it. So, two weeks ago I went into a local EB Games store and picked up a 14-day trial DVD for $1.99. The good thing is that the trial even includes the Mac version. It plays beautifully on my MacBook Pro – in some parts of the game I get over 130 frames per second.
No, this doesn’t mean that I quit Halo 2 — I just now play two games and realize even more that I have a very understanding fiancee.
If you are a WoW addict and are on the Lothar server, my character is Jiralhanae (from Halo 2, which in Korean means something like “stupid aggressive lunatic”).
I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had much of a chance to blog. October 3rd marked my one year anniversary with Network Appliance. My experience can pretty much be summed up the same way I did for my three month and six month – awesome! Without sounding like I’m trying to impress anyone, I work with a really great set of fun, talented and hard working people.
As for the projects — lately I’ve been doing a lot of InstallShield and Windows driver installation development – learning a lot, and having a great time doing it.
