I have known about this website for a long time, but forgot that I haven’t blogged about it. Henry Earl is the world’s most famous drunk
So there's this guy named Henry Earl. He lives in Lexington, KY. I don't know much about him except that he goes by the name "James Brown", (which is cool in and of itself) and that he likes to get drunk. He likes to get drunk a lot. And he gets busted a lot. As in "900+ times in the last 13 years" a lot. He spends roughly twice as much of his life in jail as out. His rap sheet is pages and pages long. Henry would surely take the gold in any Boozer Olympics competition.
He has even been mentioned on MSNBC and Newsweek. The website titled “What’s up with Henry Earl?” keeps a current status on Henry Earl. They even have RSS feeds to let you know whether he’s in jail or not. As of this posting, he is in jail…booked on 09/26/2005.

Three posts in one day!
WOW. Three Four posts in one day. I believe that’s a first for this blog! I know, I know…this one has no “real” content.
House In Raleigh
As a follow-up to my entry about being “Home”less, I thought I would let you in on our house searching process here in North Carolina. Last week, after about a week of searching…late into the nights, we found a house in northwest Raleigh. We looked all over the Triangle..we looked in Cary, Morrisville, Durham, Apex, Holly Springs, and finally decided to make an offer on a house in NW Raleigh. It was yesterday that we finally got the signed offer acceptance via e-mail. So, we have scheduled out the inspections, etc. We’re shooting for an extremely quick close…October 27th. I’ll post pictures of it soon.
Big Day Tomorrow
Dan Warmenhoven, ex-IBMer and the current Chief Executive Officer of NetApp (my 6th line manager) will visit our brand new RTP site for the ribbon cutting event. We will also be holding an Open House at the new site tomorrow. Today was pretty hectic too as flowers, signs, pictures, and video equipment were put into place and cleaning is still going on as I write this. The landscapers and contractors were rushing to put trees, flowers, sod, walkways, and tiles into place.
We have an all-hands/luncheon tomorrow at noon with Dan…I think the agenda says that there will be about 150 people at the event.
“Home”less
I am no longer a property owner in the state of Arizona. The new owners wanted to close a little early, so as of 4:00pm Eastern time today, the property changed ownership. I’m now homeless….at least for another couple of weeks.
Our Cars Just Arrived
So, we just got back from picking up our cars!! Well, they got in about an hour ago, but we had to go fill up the rental car with gas, and take it back to the airport. I’m just so happy to have my own form of transportation now…as I’m sure Rebecca is as well!
Apple’s Stock Falls Almost 11%
AppleInsider reported that “Shares of Apple Computer plummeted nearly $6 in after hours trading on Tuesday, losing over 11% of their value despite the company reporting the best quarterly results in its history.”
At the time of posting this entry, the stock was down 5.40 (10.47%) to $46.19 per share. I’m not sure what will happen to it come tomorrow morning.

Poor NMSU
Poor, poor NMSU! This is a terrible year for the New Mexico State Aggies football team are currently 0-6 overall, and 0-2 WAC. In their defense, this is Coach Hal Mumme’s first year. First years are always tough, as the coach has to reorganize the team that was formed by the previous coach. Not only do they introduce a new coach this year, but it is also the Aggies’ first year in the Western Athletic Conference. The WAC brings more competition… Here’s a quick summary of the games that made up the 0-6 overall stat:
UTEP 34 @ NMSU 17
NMSU 0 @ Colorado 39
NMSU 21 @ New Mexico 38
California 41 @ NMSU 13
NMSU 14 @ Louisiana Tech 34
Fresno State 37 @ NMSU 7
Myspace.com
I recently signed up for myspace.com. This is a pretty fun website. After signing up, I immediately did a search for the Hobbs High School class of 2000 to see what’s up with my former classmates. Very interesting results! There were some pictures of people I haven’t seen in more than five years…I know, five years doesn’t seem much, but… Some people changed completely and then there were those who haven’t changed at all. I encourage you all to sign up, and send me a friend request (jbctech).
