Great day tomorrow…

Tomorrow, my kind boss will be taking our department of six to the N.C. State Fair. She has at least one interesting event planned for us. As a team building event, we’re supposed to milk a cow. If you’ve seen this picture, you’ll know that milking won’t be that bad for me. I’ve had my hand inside the rumen of a live cow. Anyway, it should be a fun outing… I am anxious to see the Great Pumpkin. Apparently a guy named Wallace Simmons grows enormous pumpkins for the fair. This year, the pumpkin is 854 pounds, which happens to be the 3rd largest! The largest was 860 lbs. Now THAT’S a pumpkin!

1 Week ’til Close…

The house buying process is going pretty smoothly here, as we’re set to close next Thursday. We’re both ready to get out of the crummy 3rd floor apartment. Here is a picture of the new house, as promised:

More (full-size) pictures from the listing are available in the photo album. Keep in mind this isn’t our stuff in the house.

Update: It’s a 1966 sqft. home located in northwest Raleigh. It was built in 2004 by Centex.
