After seeing a post titled Of The Joys of IE 7 RSS Feeds from Dan Foesch, I decided to try the IE7 RSS Feed for my site. It appears to work perfectly. I am using IE 7.0.5112.0 in Windows Vista Beta 1. Of course, Dan wrote his feed page himself basing it off of Slashdot, whereas I’m relying on the WordPress feed generation. Apparently IE7 uses case-sensitive tags…nice find.
Big news…I’m moving to North Carolina. I have accepted a position as a Software Development Engineer with Network Appliance, Inc. (Netapp). It sounds like a very exciting and challenging job, and I think I will enjoy it a lot. Nonetheless, it was a very tough decision to leave IBM. IBM is a great company, and I am really going to miss the people here. I just think that this position meets my long-term goals better. My last official day at IBM is September 30, 2005.
I’ve only been to North Carolina once, and that was a few weeks ago when I interviewed. I’m not sure what to expect, but I know it will be much different than Arizona (Really?). I suppose I’ll have to get used to the humidity, the cold weather, and possibly even hurricanes and ice storms.
